I don't think it's really fair to judge those you don't know much about. I couldn't say one way or another whether you'd be more 'dignified' than a Beastman.

There are ones out there that were violent or vengeful, sure, but as Supreme Commander I've seen plenty that want for peace and quiet just as much as humans.

It's not about being higher.

I fought long and hard to free my world from those who wanted to treat us humans as lesser beings that could be slaughtered without retribution.

I don't take too kindly to the high and mighty, "my species is better than your species" BS.

I've been trying to make sure that Beastmen and humans are treated as equals in my government. There are a bunch of humans that don't like this, but I think it's necessary.

Unfortuantely, a lot of Beastmen don't like this either and rebel... but those that want to live peacefully have equality.

I don't believe that all species are equal...but I don't believe that it should be cause for war. Except for dogs. Dogs are always the exception.
